Chaman (By Syed Sardar Mohammad Khondai): QESCO Chaman Sub-Division has recovered approximately Rs255,000 from major electricity defaulters during a special recovery operation conducted in collaboration with Chaman District Police.

According to a statement issued by QESCO Chaman WAPDA, the operation targeted consumers with outstanding electricity bills. Officials collected the pending dues on the spot as part of the department’s efforts to improve bill recovery and discourage electricity theft.

QESCO officials said the department would continue action against consumers who fail to pay their electricity bills on time. They stressed that electricity theft and non-payment of dues would not be tolerated.

The officials urged consumers to clear their outstanding bills before the due date. They also advised people to avoid illegal electricity connections and other forms of power theft to prevent possible legal action.

The joint operation reflects QESCO’s efforts to strengthen its recovery campaign with the support of local law enforcement agencies.

QESCO officials said timely recovery of electricity dues and the elimination of power theft are important steps toward improving the power distribution system.

They added that continued action against defaulters could help improve recovery and support efforts to reduce load-shedding.

The department also confirmed that operations against electricity defaulters would continue in the future. Officials called on consumers to cooperate with QESCO, pay their bills regularly, and follow electricity regulations.

The campaign aims to improve compliance with payment rules and discourage illegal electricity use across the Chaman area.
